THE VITAL ROLE YOU HAVE

As our Maintenance Custodian, you will help keep the hospital looking its best from the inside out. You will clean and disinfect treatment areas, offices, bathrooms, lobbies, and common spaces while managing laundry, removing waste, and ensuring supplies stay stocked. You will assist with minor repairs, coordinate with maintenance vendors when needed, help maintain outdoor areas, and support a safe environment for employees and visitors. Every task you complete will contribute to a cleaner, safer, and more welcoming hospital.

THE SKILLS THAT WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of infection control as well as hazardous waste handling and disposal
• Ability to clean, disinfect, organize, stock with a high level of detail
• Ability to keep areas clean stocked, and maintained on a daily basis
• Ability to bend, stand, stoop, move from room to room, sit, talk, listen and walk or stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift and/or move at least 50 lbs
• Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications at RRAEH (isolved, W2W, etc.)
• Ability to willingly accept constructive criticism from management staff and clinicians
• Ability to follow the appropriate chain of command
