Job Responsibilities
Demonstrates a knowledge of all routine therapy equipment, oximeters, regulators, flowmeters, analyzers, ETCO2 monitors, medical gases, inhaled pharmacological agents, etc. Has a working knowledge of Hospital/Respiratory care policy and procedure manuals. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care of service appropriate to the age of the patients served on assigned unit.
Demonstrates and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to age-specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's/area's/department's policies and procedures . Performs Other Responsibilities as Assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Degrees: High School Diploma or GED and Currently enrolled in a recognized respiratory therapy program at either the junior or senior level Experience: <2 years Supervisor Experience: None Licenses & Certifications: Respiratory Care Educational Permit issued by the Missouri Board for Respiratory Care Work Shift Day/Evening Rotation (United States of America) Legal Statement The above information on this description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees in this position.
