• Philadelphia, PA, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Position Summary The Food & Supply Receiving Coordinator is responsible for accurate, quality-controlled, and timely receipt of all food, disposable, and future beverage deliveries. This role ensures inventory accuracy, proper storage, and adherence to food safety standards while supporting margin control and operational efficiency. This is an execution-focused operational role within a high-volume catering and event production environment. Core Responsibilities Delivery Receiving Receive all vendor deliveries (food, disposables, and future beverage) Verify quantities against purchase orders Inspect quality and temperature of all perishables Identify shortages, substitutions, and damages Immediately report discrepancies to Purchasing Manager Documentation & Logging Sign and date all packing slips Log deliveries in inventory system Maintain organized receiving documentation Track and document rejected or returned items Storage & Inventory Handling Label and date products Ensure FIFO rotation Maintain organization of freezer, cooler, and dry storage Consolidate SKUs when appropriate Assist with inventory counts Shared Receiving (With Purchasing Manager) Assist on large broadline deliveries Support peak-volume days Maintain delivery schedule flow Ensure receiving dock cleanliness Performance Metrics 99%+ receiving accuracy 100% temperature compliance Shrink under 2% Clean and organized storage audits Accurate documentation Qualifications: Qualifications Foodservice or warehouse experience preferred Strong attention to detail Ability to lift 50lbs regularly Comfortable working in cold storage Organized and process-driven Reliable and punctual
