JOB TITLE Science Lab Technician DEPARTMENT Academic Support SUPERVISOR Head of Science/ Science Teachers OBJECTIVE: The Science Lab Technician will provide laboratory support to staff and students in the Department of Science. He/She will be expected to participate in research projects in science as directed by the Head of Sciences/Science Teachers; laboratory preparation and clean-up.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Preparing chemicals and laboratory apparatus for science lessons Washing and storing glassware after use Maintaining safe storage and well-organized inventory of chemicals and apparatus Other tasks helping the departments run smoothly Ensuring the science department complies with local regulations on safety, chemicals, radioactive etc.
