Automotive Detailer (Jack Giambalvo Collision Center)

The Jack Giambalvo Family of Dealerships is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Automotive Detailer to join our team at Jack Giambalvo Collision Center in York, PA. Our detailers play an important role in the collision repair process, helping ensure every vehicle leaves our facility looking clean, polished, and professionally finished.

What You'll Do

As an Automotive Detailer, you'll clean, restore, and recondition vehicles while helping maintain the high standards of quality our customers expect.

Your responsibilities

Thoroughly washing and cleaning vehicle exteriors using appropriate cleaning solutions, water, cloths, brushes, and equipment Applying waxes, polishes, and protective products by hand or with buffing equipment Vacuuming and thoroughly cleaning vehicle interiors Cleaning upholstery, carpeting, rugs, dashboards, trim, and other interior surfaces Applying appropriate cleaners, conditioners, revitalizers, and protectants to vinyl, leather, plastic, and fabric surfaces Removing stains, odors, grease, grime, and other contaminants using appropriate products and techniques Cleaning engine compartments and related components using appropriate equipment and cleaning products Applying specialized cleaners and treatments when standard cleaning methods are not sufficient Performing light touch-up work on chipped or damaged painted surfaces as directed Reconditioning and restoring the appearance of interior and exterior surfaces Assisting with final vehicle preparation prior to customer delivery Inspecting completed work to ensure vehicles meet quality and appearance standards Maintaining detailing supplies, tools, and equipment Keeping work areas clean, organized, and safe Following all manufacturer recommendations and applicable safety procedures when using cleaning chemicals, equipment, and tools Working cooperatively with collision center technicians, management, and other team members Performing other duties as assigned What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is dependable, hardworking, detail-oriented, and takes pride in doing quality work.

The ideal candidate will have: Previous automotive detailing, reconditioning, collision, dealership, or related experience preferred Knowledge of automotive cleaning and reconditioning techniques Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to safely operate vehicles and detailing equipment Ability to use hand and power tools and equipment safely Good judgment and attention to detail Strong work ethic and dependable attendance Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team Ability to follow instructions and safely handle automotive cleaning products and chemicals Manual dexterity and ability to perform repetitive physical tasks Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience preferred Previous detailing experience is a plus, but we're willing to train the right person who has a strong work ethic and takes pride in their work!
