About the Role

Viceroy Snowmass, located in beautiful Snowmass Village, Colorado, is seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our Culinary team! In this role, you will create exceptional dining experiences by preparing high-quality sushi while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, presentation, and guest satisfaction.

The ideal candidate is a team-oriented culinary professional with expertise in traditional sushi preparation, a positive attitude, and a commitment to excellence. You will collaborate with our Culinary team to deliver memorable dining experiences in a dynamic luxury hospitality environment. Job Location: Viceroy Snowmass Pay Rate: $27–$30 per hour (based on experience) Schedule: Flexible schedule; nights, weekends, and holidays required Employment Status: Part-Time Seasonal Start Date: 11/23/2026 Application Deadline: 11/15/2026, or until filled What You'll Do Prepare and present high-quality sushi, including nigiri, sashimi, hand rolls, and specialty rolls, ensuring exceptional taste, freshness, and presentation.

Deliver outstanding dining experiences by consistently meeting culinary quality standards and guest expectations. Maintain strict food safety, sanitation, and health standards, ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations. Manage sushi station operations, including food preparation, inventory control, stock rotation, and proper storage of perishable ingredients.

Collaborate with Culinary leadership to develop, test, and refine recipes and menu offerings that enhance the guest experience. Monitor product quality, purchasing needs, and inventory levels to minimize waste and support operational efficiency. Support and guide Culinary team members by promoting teamwork, continuous improvement, and exceptional service standards.

Coordinate with other departments to accommodate special requests, VIP guests, group dining experiences, and operational needs. Maintain kitchen equipment and workstations, communicating maintenance needs and ensuring readiness for daily food service.

About You

Experience preparing traditional Japanese sushi, including nigiri, sashimi, hand rolls, and specialty rolls. Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, seafood handling, food safety, and sanitation standards. Understanding of kitchen operations, inventory management, and quality control. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced culinary environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills with a positive, guest-focused attitude. Creativity, adaptability, and a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
