Project Manager - Manufacturing
Job description
Project Manager Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Project Manager to oversee a segment of manufacturing projects for industrial, oil & gas infrastructure, completions equipment, and other steel and exotic material products. The successful candidate will act as the primary liaison between our internal manufacturing, quality, and compliance teams and our external client stakeholders, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate end-to-end project lifecycles, from initial order/inquiry through design, manufacturing, testing, and install followup. Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed schedules, milestone tracking, and resource allocation. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interface daily with departments including Manufacturing, Quality Assurance (QA), and Compliance/Regulatory to ensure products meet stringent industry standards.
Coordinate with engineering teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure design integrity. Stakeholder Management & Reporting: Serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders; provide transparent, proactive communication. Prepare and deliver formal status reports to corporate leadership, highlighting budget performance, schedule adherence, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Quality, Safety & Compliance: Ensure all project activities comply with internal Quality Management Systems (QMS) and external regulatory requirements (e.g., API, ASME, OSHA). Oversee acceptance testing and ensure all necessary documentation is finalized for project closeout.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Civil preferred) or related technical field. Experience: 5+ years of experience in project management within a manufacturing or industrial, preferably with exposure to manufacturing of O&G products or infrastructure (for surface, subsurface or subsea.) Skills: Proficiency in project management software, ERP systems, and technical drawing review.
