Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in Oak Park, MI. The LPN will provide high-quality nursing care to our patients in their homes, ensuring comfort, safety, and adherence to care plans. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients according to physician’s orders and care plans.

• Monitor and record patient health and vital signs accurately.

• Administer medications and injections as prescribed.

• Collaborate with Registered Nurses and other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.

• Educate patients and their families on care practices and health maintenance.

• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patient care and progress.

• Follow all safety and infection control protocols.

Requirements

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Michigan.

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience preferred but not required, preferably in home care or similar settings.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Basic knowledge of medical equipment and medications.

• Reliable transportation to travel to patient homes.
