About Us

The Just One Project's mission is to increase access to food, resources, and supportive services to build a stronger, healthier, and more connected community. The Just One Project has a culture of attracting the most passionate and talented people to represent The Just One Project by reinforcing strong values, work-life balance, and diversity. We know that our company culture ultimately affects client experience. Every program is designed with our clients in mind; we are "client-centric."

Everything we do is guided by our core values: Respect, Integrity, Innovation, and Compassion, and by our Gold Standard of service. We believe every person who walks through our doors deserves to be treated with the same care, dignity, and respect as you'd want for your own family, whether they're picking up groceries or asking for help with something much harder. We're looking for someone who doesn't just agree with these values, but lives them out in how they treat every neighbor they serve.

About the Role

As the Groceries on the Go Lead, you'll help bring fresh food, essential groceries, and a welcoming experience directly into the communities we serve. From coordinating our Mobile Market and food distributions to guiding our Program Driver and supporting volunteers, you'll play a key role in making sure our neighbors have reliable access to the food they need.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who loves staying organized, building relationships, and making a difference in the community. You'll work closely with the Community Food Program Manager to keep daily operations running smoothly, support your team, and ensure every distribution reflects our Gold Standard of service.

The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with occasional evenings and weekends as needed. Staff also participate in a minimum of 6 Saturday Pop Up & Give events per year.

What You'll Do

  • Lead daily Groceries on the Go operations, including Mobile Market activities, food distributions, and delivery logistics
  • Supervise, guide, and support the Program Driver to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Coordinate delivery routes, schedules, inventory, and supplies to keep distributions running efficiently
  • Work alongside volunteers and staff to create organized, welcoming community events
  • Build positive relationships with community members, partner organizations, and volunteers
  • Maintain accurate inventory, program records, and reports to track community impact
  • Ensure food safety standards and organizational procedures are followed
  • Identify opportunities to improve program operations and the overall client experience
  • Participate in a minimum of 6 Saturday Pop Up & Give events per year

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Experience in food distribution, logistics, inventory management, or a related field
  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or team coordination experience preferred
  • Experience in nonprofit, retail, customer service, or community-based programs preferred
  • Valid, unrestricted driver's license and ability to meet organizational insurability requirements
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Nevada Food Handler Safety Training Card within 30 days of hire
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, and maintaining accurate records
  • Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude and a passion for serving the community
  • A genuine connection to our mission and commitment to our core values of Respect, Integrity, Innovation, and Compassion

Compensation and Benefits

$23.00 per hour. As a full-time team member, you'll also receive:

  • Health, Dental, and Vision coverage
  • Additional insurance options including Life Insurance, AD&D, Critical Illness, Accident Insurance, Short and Long Term Disability, and Pet Insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan with 3% employer match
  • Paid Time Off, accrued from your start date
  • 2 floating holidays
  • Birthday Pay
  • Bereavement pay
  • 8 weeks of paid parental leave
  • Over 6 weeks of paid holiday time off per year

Don't Meet Every Requirement? Let Us Decide!

We know that meaningful experience comes in many forms, and some of the best team members bring unique backgrounds, perspectives, and life experiences to their work.

If this position excites you and you believe your skills, experience, and passion for helping others would make you a great addition to our team, we encourage you to apply!

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check, drug screening, motor vehicle report, employment verification, and reference checks, as permitted by law.
