Emergency Department Technician

Emergency Department Technician Department: Emergency Dept Hours: 24.00 per week Shift: Evenings Work Schedule: 1100-2330 Weekend Requirement: Every Third Weekend Position Summary The primary function of the Emergency Department Technician “ED Tech” is to assist in the care of all Emergency Department patients and patient care duties under the direction of the registered nurse.

The ED technician has key duties and responsibilities as listed below.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent Basic Life Support (BLS) CNA with acute care setting experience, or third year BSN student will be considered Preferred Qualifications: Current and active EMT certification The ideal candidate would possess a strong work ethic, good organizational skills, multitasking, excellence in customer service, ability to work well on a team and strong communication skills.

Typically, a new hire can expect a starting pay rate somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual pay rates may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly values for both non-exempt and exempt roles.
