Field Service Technician I – Detroit, MI Quest International – Detroit, MI Location: Detroit, MI – Field-Based Pay: $24.00–$29.00 per hour + overtime Employment: Full-time, temp-to-hire Travel: Up to 80%, including overnight travel About the Position Quest International is looking for a Field Service Technician I to support customers throughout the Detroit area and surrounding territory.

This is a hands-on field service position. You will travel to customer locations to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electro-mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair technical equipment Perform preventive and corrective maintenance Diagnose electrical and mechanical problems Replace failed parts, components, and assemblies Use a digital multimeter and other diagnostic tools Read technical manuals, diagrams, and service instructions Communicate professionally with customers Complete service reports and work orders Travel to customer locations as assigned Qualifications At least 1 year of hands-on technical experience Experience troubleshooting or repairing electrical, electronic, mechanical, or electro-mechanical equipment Experience using a digital multimeter Able to read and follow technical instructions Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Valid driver's license Reliable personal vehicle Willing and able to travel up to 80%, including overnight assignments Flexible for overtime and changing customer schedules Willing to complete the required Human Performance Test Relevant Experience Experience may come from areas such as: Field service Medical equipment Electronics Industrial maintenance Automotive diagnostics Manufacturing equipment Robotics or mechatronics Aviation Military technical specialties Your previous job title does not have to be Field Service Technician.

We are looking for someone with strong hands-on troubleshooting and repair experience.
