Linux System Administrator (3–5 Years)

About the Role

Flyte Solutions Ltd. is seeking a skilled and experienced Linux System Administrator to manage, maintain, secure, and optimize enterprise Linux server infrastructure. The ideal candidate must possess strong hands-on experience in Linux server administration, production environment troubleshooting, infrastructure monitoring, security management, and system automation.

Position: Linux System Administrator Experience Required: 3–5 Years Job Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh Employment Type: Full-Time | Onsite Salary: Negotiable, based on experience and technical expertise Key Responsibilities Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux servers, including RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS, and Rocky Linux.

Administer production servers, system services, user accounts, permissions, and access controls. Monitor server performance, availability, resource utilization, and infrastructure health. Perform system patching, upgrades, security hardening, and vulnerability remediation. Configure and troubleshoot TCP/IP networking, DNS, routing, SSH, firewalls, and related services.

Manage storage, filesystems, LVM, RAID, and backup/recovery operations. Configure and maintain Nginx, Apache, and other Linux-based services. Automate routine administration tasks using Bash scripting, Python, or configuration management tools. Investigate incidents, analyze system logs, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.

Support virtualization, cloud infrastructure, high availability, and disaster recovery activities. Maintain technical documentation and collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams. Required Technical Skills Strong practical knowledge of Linux administration (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS, Rocky Linux). Linux command-line administration, SSH, systemd, cron, and package management.

Linux networking, firewall configuration, and security hardening. User/group management, file permissions, and access control. Disk management, LVM, RAID, and filesystem troubleshooting. Bash scripting and basic automation. Experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Nagios, Prometheus, or Grafana. Hands-on experience managing production Linux environments.

Preferred Skills

VMware, KVM, or Proxmox virtualization. AWS, Azure, or other cloud infrastructure. Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, or Terraform. Backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions. RHCSA, RHCE, or equivalent Linux certifications. Educational Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
