Job Description The Traffic Safety Engineer is responsible for researching, investigating, and evaluating requests brought by the public regarding traffic safety issues. The incumbent will conduct field investigations to review existing roadway conditions, including sight distance, signs, traffic signals, pavement markings, and other roadway features.
The position additionally reviews traffic data, such as speed, traffic volume, accident and other roadway data. The incumbent will also respond to requests from citizens related to traffic safety issues.
