Retail/ Visual Merchandiser

Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Retail Merchandiser to manage the visual presentation and inventory of our retail stores. The ideal candidate will analyze customer behaviour, monitor trends, and ensure optimal product placement to drive sales and create an excellent shopping experience.

This role requires strong communication skills, creativity, and the ability to collaborate with team members to maximize retail performance.

Responsibilities

Monitor sales performance and address stock wastage or inventory losses. Create and implement attractive and strategic product displays that optimize space and promote sales. Conduct regular inventory reviews to ensure stock availability and timely replenishment. Collaborate with management and marketing teams to develop promotional strategies and set competitive pricing.

Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to predict product demand and seasonal requirements. Work closely with suppliers and distributors to negotiate prices and plan product orders in line with demand. Train and brief staff on display standards, stock rotation, and effective merchandising techniques.

Research and stay updated on industry trends, competitor strategies, and consumer behavior to refine merchandising strategies. Assess the effectiveness of store layouts, signage, and product placements to improve sales and customer satisfaction. Ensure compliance with store policies, brand guidelines and health and safety standards.

Qualifications

Proven experience in retail merchandising or a similar role (5+ years preferred). Strong understanding of consumer behaviour, market analysis and visual merchandising principles. Excellent organizational, time management and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in inventory management software and sales analytics tools.

Ability to lift and organize merchandise as needed (up to 50 lbs). A creative eye for product presentation and attention to detail. Driver's license (preferred) for travel between locations, if required.
