Church Community Outreach Coordinator

The Church Community Outreach Coordinator is responsible for extending the church’s wellness ministry into the community by building partnerships and connecting individuals with health resources and services. 1. Doing ministry/preparing for ministry: 2-3 hours per week (8-12 hours per month)
2. Participating in meetings/training: As requested Responsibilities/Duties: Develop partnerships with hospitals, clinics, nonprofits, and community organizations. Coordinate church participation in community health fairs and outreach events. Recruit volunteers for outreach initiatives. Identify community wellness needs and recommend new programs. Promote wellness services throughout the surrounding community. Assist with grant opportunities and sponsorship relationships. Maintain partnership records. Provide monthly ministry reports. Each Coordinator will: Attend one monthly Wellness Leadership Team meeting. Recruit and mentor volunteers within your ministry area. Support major church wellness events. Collaborate with other wellness coordinators. Submit a brief monthly activity report with participation numbers, accomplishments, challenges, and goals for the following month. Uphold the mission, values, and policies of the church. Measures of Success Number of community partnerships. Outreach event participation. Volunteer engagement. Community members served.
