Key Responsibilities
Lead the company’s business development and strategic partnership strategy, including licensing, alliances, and potential M&A opportunities Identify, evaluate, and advance external pipeline opportunities in priority therapeutic areas such as rheumatology, orthopedics, and osteoporosis Build and manage strategic relationships with domestic and international pharmaceutical and biotech partners Lead end-to-end deal processes, including opportunity assessment, business case development, negotiation, and contract execution Provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership and the board to support portfolio expansion and long-term growth Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, commercial, regulatory, and manufacturing teams to ensure successful execution and commercialization of partnerships Requirements Candidate Profile Required Experience & Capabilities Proven experience leading business development, licensing, partnerships, or M&A initiatives within the pharmaceutical industry Strong strategic thinking and analytical capability with the ability to evaluate market opportunities and build business cases Demonstrated ability to lead negotiations and manage complex external partnerships Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including interaction with senior executives and external partners Hands-on approach with the ability to drive initiatives from strategy through execution Business-level English required for international negotiations and collaboration Preferred Experience Experience in cross-border transactions or partnerships with global pharmaceutical or biotech companies MBA or equivalent business background Ideal Background Director or Senior Manager level experience in Business Development, Alliance Management, or Corporate Development within a pharmaceutical or biotech company or Experience working closely with biotech leadership to drive licensing or strategic partnership initiatives Personal Attributes High learning agility and ability to quickly understand new therapeutic areas and business models Strong relationship-building capability with diverse stakeholders Ability to balance short-term execution with long-term strategic thinking Demonstrates both flexibility and persistence in complex deal environments Benefits Compensation & Benefits Highly competitive compensation package designed to attract senior business development talent Comprehensive benefits including full social insurance coverage Defined Contribution (DC) retirement program Additional benefits consistent with a director-level leadership role
