Requirements
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing end-to-end store and operational performance across Food, Non-Food, and General Merchandise categories. This role ensures efficient daily operations, inventory accuracy, compliance with food safety and company standards, cost control, and excellent customer experience while driving sales and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management Oversee daily operations of food, non-food, and general merchandise categories to ensure smooth and efficient store performance. Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all departments. Ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation, and government regulations (FDA, DOLE, LGU requirements).
Inventory & Supply Chain Manage inventory levels, stock rotation, expiry monitoring, and shrinkage control. Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and suppliers to ensure timely replenishment. Monitor stock availability, fast-moving items, and slow-moving inventories. People Management Lead, coach, and supervise department heads, supervisors, and store staff.
Ensure proper staffing, scheduling, and productivity. Conduct performance evaluations and support staff development and training. Sales & Cost Control Monitor sales performance, margins, and operational KPIs. Control operating expenses, wastage, and losses. Support merchandising, pricing, and promotional execution in coordination with marketing and buying teams.
Customer Experience Ensure excellent customer service standards across all departments. Address customer concerns, complaints, and service issues promptly. Maintain store cleanliness, layout, and overall presentation. Reporting & Continuous Improvement Prepare operational reports, analysis, and recommendations for management.
Identify process improvements to increase efficiency, sales, and profitability. Support expansion, store openings, or operational projects as required.
Benefits
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Retail Management, or related field. At least 5–8 years of experience in operations management within retail, supermarket, FMCG, or general merchandise. Strong background in food and non-food operations, inventory control, and compliance. Proven leadership and people management skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Excellent communication and coordination skills. Proficient in MS Office and retail/ERP systems. Willing to work in Makati City and flexible with schedules when required.
