General Helper

Mechanical Helper Responsibilities Assist mechanical technicians and fitters with equipment installation, maintenance, dismantling, and repair activities. Carry tools, materials, spare parts, and equipment to designated work areas. Support the cleaning, lubrication, and inspection of pumps, valves, motors, gearboxes, and piping components.

Assist with bolt tightening, gasket replacement, equipment alignment, and basic fitting work under supervision. Prepare work areas and safely use basic hand and power tools. Maintain proper housekeeping and organize tools and materials after completing work. Follow supervisors’ instructions, permit-to-work requirements, LOTO procedures, and site safety regulations.

Wear the required PPE and immediately report unsafe conditions or equipment defects.

Requirements

Requirements Secondary education, ITI, or basic mechanical trade training is preferred. Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in construction, industrial, maintenance, or Oil & Gas projects. Basic knowledge of mechanical tools, equipment, and maintenance activities. Ability to identify common tools, fasteners, valves, pipes, and mechanical components.

Physically fit and capable of lifting materials and working in hot, dusty, elevated, or confined areas. Basic understanding of workplace safety, PPE, housekeeping, and manual handling. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under the supervision of technicians or fitters. Valid QID and immediate availability are preferred for local hiring.
