Electrical Technician

Electrical Technician Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical equipment, panels, motors, and lighting systems. Carry out cable laying, glanding, termination, and testing in accordance with drawings and specifications. Perform preventive maintenance and identify faults using electrical testing instruments.

Follow permit-to-work procedures and site HSE requirements. Record completed work and report defects to the supervisor.

Requirements

Diploma or ITI certification in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Relevant experience in electrical installation and maintenance; oil and gas experience preferred. Ability to read electrical drawings and single-line diagrams. Practical knowledge of cable termination, motor controls, and electrical testing. Good understanding of electrical safety procedures.
