Industry Consultant - Banking

Our culture of growth and empathy focuses on your long-term career development while valuing your unique skills and experiences.Your role and responsibilities * Advise banking clients on industry trends, business challenges, and transformation opportunities * Assess current business processes, operating models, and technology landscapes to recommend improvements * Support strategy development for areas such as retail banking, corporate banking, payments, lending, compliance, and customer experience * Collaborate with stakeholders to define business requirements and align solutions with client objectives * Provide domain expertise during solution design, implementation, and change management initiatives * Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and regulatory impact assessments * Develop client presentations, proposals, and strategic recommendations Required technical and professional expertise * Strong knowledge of banking products, services, regulations, and industry operating models * Understanding of core banking, digital channels, payments, lending, risk, and compliance frameworks * Experience in business analysis, consulting, process optimization, and stakeholder management * Ability to translate business needs into practical solution recommendations * Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills * Familiarity with banking technology platforms, digital transformation programs, and data-driven decision-making * Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Technology, or related field; Relevant certifications preferred Preferred technical and professional experience * 10+ years of experience in banking, financial services, or consulting * Proven experience in banking transformation, regulatory compliance, risk, operations, or digital banking initiatives * Prior experience working with banks or banking clients on business strategy, process improvement, or technology-led transformation IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
