Laboratory Assistant

We are looking for an inspiring person for the post of "Laboratory Assistant" at Havelock Town branch to support the students learning process. Job Description Prepare materials and assemble, disassemble, clean and store equipment needed for individual and group laboratory experiments.

Schedule preparation of lab experiments. Store and dispose of hazardous wastes using safety procedures. Maintain inventory system of all science supplies and special equipment. Coordinate purchase of all science supplies and special equipment. Coordinate purchase of all science supplies and special equipment. Coordinate maintenance of laboratory equipment (service or replace) perform assigned responsibilities, duties and tasks according to established practices, procedures, techniques, and standards in a safe manner and with minimal supervision.

Enforce lab safety codes in all science lab areas to assure student and employee safety. Performing other related duties. Performing other related Duties.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or biology. Those who have Diploma qualifications in the relevant field also considered. Good command in English and Sinhala languages. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality. Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities to use time efficiently.
