Part-Time Medical Receptionist

NOW HIRING: PART-TIME MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST Center for Skin Wellness | Sarasota, FL Center for Skin Wellness, an established medical and cosmetic dermatology practice, is seeking a professional, dependable, and customer-focused Part-Time Medical Receptionist to join our team. We are looking for a friendly, organized individual who enjoys working with patients and thrives in a professional, fast-paced medical office environment.

Position & Schedule Part-time position working 2–3 days per week. Office hours: Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM–5:00 PM Friday: 7:30 AM–4:30 PM Qualifications & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of one year of medical administrative experience required. Professional appearance and a patient-focused attitude.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilities. Knowledge of HMO, PPO, POS, and Medicare Advantage insurance plans. Excellent telephone etiquette and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Greet patients, family members, and medical sales representatives in a courteous and professional manner. Obtain, verify, and scan patient photo IDs and insurance cards, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date. Verify that required insurance authorizations and referrals are on file. Assist patients with accessing and completing information through the patient portal.

Review practice policies with all new patients and obtain necessary signatures. Schedule and reschedule appointments as needed. Request medical records from other healthcare providers. Provide excellent customer service and professional telephone support. Collect patient payments and process transactions accurately. Maintain accurate patient information and support the efficient daily operation of the front desk.
