Medical Billing A/R Specialist Premier Dermatology is seeking an experienced Medical Billing A/R Specialist to join our Central Billing Office. This position is responsible for working patient accounts receivable, resolving outstanding balances, assisting patients with billing questions, and supporting accurate and timely account resolution.

Key Responsibilities

Review and work patient A/R accounts and outstanding balances Review patient statements for accuracy and resolve payment posting issues Contact patients regarding outstanding balances and payment arrangements Answer patient and practice billing questions by phone Research account balances, payment discrepancies, and posting errors Review claim status and payer information as needed Identify accounts appropriate for collections and maintain collection agency activity Research and prepare patient refund requests Work returned mail and update patient information Maintain accurate account notes and documentation Identify recurring billing or A/R issues and communicate trends to management Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required 3+ years of recent medical billing experience preferred Dermatology billing experience a plus Basic knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding Knowledge of commercial and government insurance plans Ability to read and interpret payer EOBs Strong computer skills; experience with EHR/practice management systems Strong communication, organization, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills Benefits Premier Dermatology offers a comprehensive benefits package for eligible employees, including: Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan Short-Term and Long-Term Disability insurance Life insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid holidays
