Police Fingerprint Technician II

An employee in this job class is responsible for performing technical work of routine difficulty in processing fingerprints.  Employees work directly for the Supervisor of the Fingerprint Unit. Work involves the processing of ink rolled or digitally produced fingerprints and the maintenance of fingerprint record files.

Work is reviewed for accuracy, adherence to established policies and procedures, and for rate of performance. Duty Hours: The Fingerprint Unit is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Rotating – Optional 8 or 10 HOUR SHIFTS:  8 HOUR SHIFTS, 5 days a week: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM.
