AI Forward Deployed Engineer

The job in one line: You'll work closely with the client team, build AI into their Salesforce & other technology stack, and stick around until it's live and people are using it. "Forward deployed" just means you work closely with the client's team, not behind three layers of project managers. You'll hear the complaints firsthand, build the fix, and watch real users try it.

What you'll do

Run discovery with the people who'll use the thing, not just the people who bought it. Build with Agentforce, Data Cloud, and LLMs like Claude, plus the integrations that connect them to the client's systems. Be the person the client messages when something looks off, and fix it fast. Say plainly when a problem doesn't need AI.

Spot what we keep building over and over, and help turn it into reusable pieces for the next client. You'll probably enjoy this if You like variety: a new client, a new industry and a new mess every couple of months. You get excited watching someone use what you built and saying "oh, that's useful." You can build in the morning and present to a client's leadership in the afternoon.

You're comfortable not knowing the answer on day one. You probably won't enjoy this if You want to stay on one project for two years. You prefer building and handing off, and would rather someone else deal with go-live. Client conversations drain you. What you need 4+ years building software, with at least 2 on Salesforce: Apex, Flows, LWC, APIs.

Hands-on work with Agentforce or with LLM-based apps outside Salesforce. Ideally both. Experience connecting Salesforce to other systems. Confidence working directly with clients, including senior people. Willingness to work with Australian, UK or US time zones, which means some early mornings or late evenings. Occasional travel to client sites.

Nice to have

Data Cloud experience. Building with the Claude or OpenAI APIs directly. Salesforce certifications, though we'll take a good story about something you shipped over a certificate.
