Lead Building Engineer

The Lead Building Engineer serves as a hands-on technical lead responsible for supporting the maintenance, operation, and reliability of agency facilities. This position oversees HVAC systems, building automation systems, preventive maintenance, and general building repairs while ensuring timely response to service requests and comfort concerns.

The Lead Building Engineer provides guidance, training, and day-to-day coordination for maintenance staff, promotes quality workmanship and accountability, and assists in maintaining safe, efficient, and compliant facilities. The position works closely with the Manager of Facilities and Safety to identify and resolve operational issues, escalating significant risks, system failures, and specialized work requiring licensed contractors as appropriate
