Position Overview

As an EMT with LYNX EMS, you will provide emergency and non-emergency medical transportation services while ensuring the safety, comfort, and dignity of every patient. You will assist with scheduled medical transports, hospital discharges, interfacility transfers, and other patient transportation needs. This role requires professionalism, strong communication skills, sound clinical judgment, and a commitment to delivering compassionate care throughout every transport.

Key Responsibilities

Respond professionally and promptly to emergency and non-emergency calls. Provide compassionate patient care in accordance with Ohio regulations, medical protocols, and company policies. Perform patient assessments and monitor patient conditions during transport. Safely operate and maintain the assigned ambulance and medical equipment.

Complete accurate patient care reports and required documentation. Ensure ambulances are clean, properly stocked, and ready for service. Communicate effectively with dispatch, healthcare providers, patients, families, and fellow crew members. Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold all applicable safety standards.

Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and professionalism throughout scheduled shifts.

Qualifications

Current Ohio EMT certification or eligibility for Ohio certification through reciprocity. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to patient safety, dignity, and quality care. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Dependable, punctual, and professional attitude. Ability to meet the physical requirements of EMT duties, including patient lifting and moving, with appropriate assistance and equipment.
