Senior Phaco Surgeon

A hospital in Kurnool is seeking an experienced Senior Phaco Surgeon with at least 3 years of relevant experience in ophthalmic surgery. The selected candidate will perform phacoemulsification procedures and provide comprehensive surgical eye care to patients.

Qualifications

MS/MD/DNB in Ophthalmology or an equivalent recognized qualification. Relevant training or experience in phacoemulsification surgery. Minimum 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience. Valid medical registration as per applicable regulations. Strong surgical skills and good patient-care and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

Evaluate patients and determine their suitability for phacoemulsification surgery. Perform phacoemulsification and other relevant ophthalmic procedures within the scope of qualification and experience. Conduct pre-operative assessments and provide post-operative care. Monitor patient recovery and manage post-operative complications when required.

Explain procedures, risks, and aftercare instructions to patients and their families. Maintain accurate clinical and surgical records.
