Fast-Paced Retail Support – Temporary (Opportunity for Hire) Location: Fort Smith, AR Pay: $14.00/hour Direct Staffing is hiring for a fast-paced retail support position in Fort Smith. This is a temporary assignment with the opportunity to be hired on based on attendance, performance, and work ethic.

Position Overview

This role supports retail and greenhouse-style operations in a fast-moving environment. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors, handling plants, and staying productive in hot conditions.

Requirements

– No Exceptions: Previous work experience is required Must have open availability Must be able to work on-call for the first several weeks and report when needed Must be comfortable working with plants in an outdoor, hot environment Must be self-motivated and able to follow basic direction without constant supervision Strong customer service skills (retail environment) Must present a clean, neat, and professional appearance Must have a clean background (no felonies) Must pass a pre-employment drug screen (THC will disqualify) Key Responsibilities: Unload and move plant shipments Stock and organize merchandise on the retail floor Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat Maintain clean and organized work areas Assist customers as needed in a professional manner Follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently What We’re Looking For: Dependable individuals who show up ready to work Ability to stay productive in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment Team players with a strong work ethic Individuals who can take direction and work independently This position is best suited for individuals who are flexible, reliable, and comfortable with changing schedules during the initial on-call period.
