About this job: Q-Sourcing Tanzania Limited is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, and South Sudan. On behalf of our Tanzania based client, we are looking for a competent and experienced Service Engineer. JOB PURPOSE. To fulfil the customer’s needs in all aspects of service jobs, commissioning, spare/ware parts, and machine repairs.

POSITION IN THE COMPANY Function designation: Service Engineer Department: Customer Service Supervisor: Country Manager Work Location : Dar es Salaam, Tanzania KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES MAIN TASKS Interact with the client to fulfil service jobs/quotations/spare-ware parts. Attend to the clients calls/e-mails for technical support.

Commissioning single machines. Giving technical support to projects Execute service contracts and servicing of machines. Identify opportunities to increase efficiency through insights / retrofits / upgrades. Judiciously assist in sourcing components for projects balancing the trade-offs between cost, quality, and lead time.

Ensure coordination with other disciplines is effective for each project/ task. Ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) responsibilities.

Requirements

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS Requirements of training and work experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic Engineering or relevant field .
• Higher technological education .
• Good knowledge of MS office programs.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English & Swahili, including the ability to interface effectively with people inside and outside of the company
• Minimum 3 years in a related technical position or proof of sufficient skills
• Firm grasp of engineering concepts (mechanical & electrical)
• Process experience in milling industry including knowledge of flour, feeds, coffee, pulses & rice processing is an advantage. Skills
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in international engineering teams.
• Must be able to work under extreme pressure.
• Willingness to travel and be out of the country (>60%)

• Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work in a matrix organization.
• Good written and oral communication skills, including the ability to interface effectively with people inside and outside of the company.
