Production Supervisor Department: Retail Operations Work Location: ROC - 72nd & F Employment Type: Full-Time Pay Range: $ 20.00 JOB SUMMARY The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading daily production operations and serving as the operational leader of Goodwill's Push Method. This position directs workflow, develops production employees, and ensures merchandise is processed, inspected, approved, and moved efficiently from donation through placement on the sales floor while maintaining established quality, pricing, tagging, and production standards.
The Production Supervisor provides day-to-day leadership for the production team by driving accountability for production goals, operational execution, employee development, and continuous product flow. This position partners closely with store leadership to maximize productivity, merchandise quality, and sales floor replenishment while supporting the overall success of the store.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
& RESPONSIBILITIES Leadership & Team Development Lead, coach, motivate, and develop Production Associates to achieve production, quality, safety, and customer service expectations. Assign daily responsibilities using the production duty board and adjust assignments throughout the day based on production priorities, staffing levels, and business needs.
Provide onboarding, training, cross-training, retraining, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure employees consistently meet production standards. Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment that reflects Goodwill's mission, values, and commitment to customer service. Push Method Leadership Coordinate daily production workflow to ensure merchandise moves efficiently from donation through processing to the sales floor with minimal delay.
Monitor production flow throughout the day, identify bottlenecks, and make real-time adjustments to staffing assignments and workflow to maintain continuous product movement. Ensure merchandise is inspected, approved, and moved promptly to the sales floor in accordance with Push Method standards. Production Operations Direct daily production activities to ensure efficient processing, sorting, grading, hanging, pricing, tagging, staging, and movement of donated goods.
Monitor production performance throughout the shift and adjust workflow to achieve daily production goals and operational objectives. Quality & Operational Standards Ensure all merchandise meets Goodwill quality standards before placement on the sales floor. Verify accurate grading, pricing, tagging, hanger standards, product presentation, and adherence to Good, Better, Best pricing guidelines.
Ensure compliance with current color tag schedules and tagging procedures. Maintain accountability for production supplies, including tags, hangers, and other production materials. Ensure production metrics, operational records, and productivity reporting are accurate, current, and communicated to store leadership. Safety & Compliance Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and efficient production area, warehouse, and donation dock.
Proactively identify safety concerns and operational risks and communicate recommendations to store leadership. Actively maintain a safe, healthy, and positive environment that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of employees, customers, participants, and volunteers. Perform other duties as assigned. INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT & INTERPERSONAL SKILLS Personally participate in ongoing cross training opportunities, education and development as well as supporting others in their efforts to develop.
Excellent working relationship with supervisors and co-workers. Must provide excellent customer service to retail stores and vendors Must be a positive role model for co-workers, programs participants and customers. ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT Educate customers and the community about the mission and vision of the organization.

EDUCATION
AND/OR EXPERIENCE GED or High School Diploma required Three months’ retail operations experience required Previous supervisor or team leader experience preferred CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Forklift certification required KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Must be able to follow safety guidelines and maintain a safe and clean work environment PHYSICAL DEMANDS Heavy Lifting 100 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds WORK ENVIRONMENT High Frequently exposed to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature, noise fumes, dust, etc.)
