Esther’s Cajun Cafe & Soul food Is Now Hiring! Position: Bartender

• Location 5007 N. Shepherd Dr. Houston, TX 77018 Esther’s Cajun Cafe & Soul food is looking for an experienced, energetic, and customer-focused Bartender to join our team! We’re seeking someone who is passionate about hospitality, skilled at preparing quality beverages, and committed to creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for every guest.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently. Provide excellent customer service and engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner. Maintain knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, wine, and menu offerings. Prepare specialty drinks according to house recipes and presentation standards.

Accurately manage customer tabs, cash payments, and POS transactions. Monitor alcohol consumption and follow responsible alcohol service practices. Restock liquor, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and other bar supplies as needed. Keep the bar area clean, organized, and sanitized throughout each shift. Complete opening and closing bar duties.

Work collaboratively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth restaurant operations. Promote featured cocktails, drink specials, and other offerings when appropriate. Maintain speed, accuracy, and professionalism during high-volume service. Follow all applicable health, safety, and Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) regulations.

Qualifications

Previous bartending experience preferred. Knowledge of classic cocktails, drink preparation, and bar operations. Strong communication, multitasking, and customer-service skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Professional appearance, positive attitude, and strong work ethic. Dependability, punctuality, and reliable transportation.

Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Current TABC certification or the ability to obtain it as required for the position. Ideal Candidate: Outgoing, personable, and passionate about hospitality. Confident working in a busy, high-energy restaurant environment. Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.
