  • Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8a – 4p (5 shifts/week) PATIENT INFORMATION
  • Patient Census: Approximately 14–18 patients per provider

  • Phone Consults: Patient inbox and message management included, with RN support
  • Case Mix: Adults who are acutely ill with a wide variety of medical problems; Gastroenterology/Internal Medicine patients FACILITY INFORMATION
  • EMR System: Epic
  • Specialty Backup Available: Collaborating physicians and other healthcare professionals available for complex and high-priority cases
  • Support Staff Available: 1 NP, 1 LPN, 1 provider, and anesthesia support for procedures
  • Trauma Level: Adult III IV PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

  • Licenses: Active New York Nurse Practitioner license required
  • Certifications: AHA BLS or RQI certification required
  • Other Qualifications: Board Certified; minimum 3 years of recent experience; Epic experience required DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Evaluate and manage patients within the Gastroenterology/Internal Medicine practice setting.
  • Provide comprehensive patient care, including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, medication management, and follow-up.
  • Educate patients and families regarding preventive care, medical conditions, prescribed treatments, and medications.
  • Document medical evaluations, diagnoses, procedures, treatments, outcomes, education, referrals, and consultations in Epic.
  • Refer complex and high-priority cases to collaborating physicians when indicated.
  • Provide appropriate medical and emergency interventions based on patient needs.
  • Prescribe and monitor medications relevant to patient diagnoses.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Work scheduled Monday–Friday clinic shifts with no call responsibility.
