- Aviation MRO 📍 WORK LOCATION Headquarters / Opa-locka, FL (OPF) 🕒 JOB TYPE Full-Time ⏰ SCHEDULE OPTIONS Sunday–Wednesday: 12-hour shift Wednesday–Saturday: 12-hour shift Wednesday will include a half-day transition shift between the two schedules. This schedule is designed to provide the required operational coverage while maintaining a 40-hour workweek for each position.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Xtreme Aviation is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Quality Assurance Auditor to support our Quality Assurance team and internal evaluation program. The Quality Assurance Auditor will be responsible for performing internal and external audits, reviewing maintenance documentation, monitoring compliance, identifying discrepancies, and supporting corrective actions across Xtreme Aviation's Heavy and Line Maintenance operations.
This position will work closely with the Quality Assurance Manager, Director of Quality, Maintenance, Quality Control, Production Control, and other departments to help ensure company procedures and practices meet applicable requirements and established quality standards. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING 🔍 Auditing & Quality Assurance Perform internal and external audits to monitor compliance with company procedures and practices.
Conduct audits in accordance with applicable FAA requirements, Repair Station Quality Control Manual (RSQCM), and Forms Manual procedures. Support audits across Xtreme Aviation's Heavy and Line Maintenance stations. Perform periodic audits in accordance with the company's internal evaluation and follow-up audit program.
Document discrepancies and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken and followed through. 📋 Documentation & Records Review Review and audit customer work documents before assignment to Production Control. Audit maintenance documentation for completeness and accuracy. Review applicable: Logbook pages Maintenance manual references Certificates of Conformance Material certifications 8130 certificates Tooling loan documentation Engineering Orders Engineering Authorizations Form 337 documentation Participate in pre-induction meetings to confirm paperwork conformance and aircraft induction acceptance.
✈️ Maintenance & Compliance Auditing Monitor maintenance checks to support the highest level of safety and compliance. Audit Airworthiness Directives (ADs), including methods of compliance, AD numbers, applicable Service Bulletins, findings, and corrective actions. Verify maintenance records identify the person performing the work, appropriate certificate number or stamp, and date of completion.
Ensure applicable inspection procedures, techniques, and methods are followed by personnel. 🏭 Facility, Materials & Vendor Audits Conduct daily walk-throughs of hangar and stockroom areas to identify unsafe conditions, faulty equipment, or misplaced objects. Ensure incoming materials and new parts complete the required receiving inspection.
Verify parts are properly identified and tagged during storage and while work is in progress. Ensure required forms are properly completed. Perform scheduled audits of the company's approved vendor listing. Audit the company's calibration program. Verify applicable inventoried products contain required Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
📈 Corrective Actions & Continuous Improvement Identify deficiencies and recommend appropriate corrective actions. Follow up on audit findings to ensure discrepancies are properly addressed. Recommend additional training when deficiencies are identified or opportunities for improvement are found. Communicate unsafe conditions, trends, and occurrences to appropriate Quality and Maintenance leadership.
Assist the Quality Assurance Manager with assigned projects and responsibilities. : WHAT YOU NEED 🔴 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of 2 years of professional experience working as an auditor in any area or industry. Demonstrated ability to conduct audits, identify discrepancies, document findings, and follow up on corrective actions.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to meet deadlines, objectives, and deliver results. Ability to learn quickly and remain calm and focused under pressure. Ability to communicate findings and recommendations clearly. Must be able to read, write, and understand English. Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments and levels of management.
Aviation experience is NOT required. Candidates with strong auditing experience from other industries are encouraged to apply. ✈️ AVIATION & QUALITY EXPERIENCE Experience in the following areas is preferred but not mandatory: Aviation or aerospace FAA requirements Part 145 Repair Station environments Heavy maintenance Line maintenance Aviation quality systems Aircraft maintenance operations Aircraft maintenance documentation Quality assurance auditing Internal or external compliance audits Candidates who have strong general auditing experience and are willing to learn the aviation-specific requirements are encouraged to apply.
📜 CERTIFICATIONS & TRAINING A&P LICENSE NOT REQUIRED An A&P license is not required for this position. Candidates with the following are encouraged to apply: Auditor training Quality assurance training Internal auditor certification Quality management or compliance training Other relevant auditing or quality certifications Auditor Training Certification is a plus.
Xtreme Aviation is open to candidates with solid auditing experience who are willing to complete any required aviation, quality, or company-specific training. ⭐ WHAT MAKES YOU STAND OUT We are especially interested in candidates who have: 2+ years of auditing experience with a proven record of conducting audits. Aviation, aerospace, manufacturing, maintenance, or other regulated-industry experience.
Experience with quality assurance or quality management systems. Experience performing internal or external audits. Experience reviewing documentation for compliance and accuracy. Experience identifying nonconformances, discrepancies, and corrective actions. Familiarity with FAA regulations or Part 145 Repair Station requirements.
Experience in heavy maintenance or line maintenance environments. Experience auditing aircraft maintenance records or technical documentation. Auditor, quality, compliance, or related professional training. Strong communication and documentation skills. The ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with Quality, Maintenance, and Operations teams.

The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented auditor who is comfortable asking questions, identifying issues, documenting findings, and following through on corrective actions. You do not need to come from aviation to succeed in this role. We value candidates who already understand the fundamentals of auditing, compliance, documentation, and quality assurance and are willing to learn the aviation-specific requirements and procedures.
