Nursing Assistant / STNA (Post Acute)

Position Summary

# Works under the supervision of the Licensed Nurse. Performs tasks related to basic nursing care, and additional procedures according to documented competency. # # Performs other duties as required. # Education, Work Experience and Licensure: # # Must be at least 16 years or older. # # STNA Requirement: # o All aides hired in must complete the course work required and successfully pass the state test for nursing assistants within 6 months, as applicable and offered by Holzer Health Systems.

o Current nursing assistants have 12 months to complete course work and state testing. # o Exceptions include aides with 10+ years of Holzer aide experience or currently enrolled into healthcare course work. # o Any STNA certified outside the state of Ohio, must complete the Nurse Aide Request for Reciprocity form and submit to the state of Ohio.

o Must complete 12 hours training to retain STNA certification, per calendar year. # # Prior experience in a comparable post-acute facility preferred. # # BLS Required, within 60 days of hire # # First aide training required, within 30 days of hire # # Driving record must be acceptable by HHS insurance and willingness to drive company vehicle to transport residents as needed (excludes minors).
