CDL Truck Driver

Job summary

Summary: You will be driving one of our 10-14yd dump trucks on a daily basis. Assisting a crew that will be putting in plastic pipe for natural gas distribution. You will also likely operate a backhoe to fill the dump truck with materials to back fill our ditches. We can help teach that. Equipment : We operate large dump trucks to small ones.

Maintenance and Safe driving will be key for this position. Safety : Adhere to standards set by Desoto in order to drive safely and maintain vehicles and equipment. Training and Supervision : Turck Drivers at our company will receive in field training from a Foreman and General Foreman. You will be supervised on a crew by a Foreman every day and the General Foreman periodically.

Work with some of our more experienced drivers to get a feel for the vehicles and our operating area. Minimum: CDL A or B required, other endorsements a plus Knowledge of general construction practices Experience in general gas operations, tooling, material, and equipment Maintain equipment and perform prechecks Ability to take clean and decipherable notation Obey all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) rules and regulations Must be 18 years of age or older High school diploma or equivalent Clean driving record and a DOT physical or ability to obtain one upon employment Preferred: Past experience in natural gas distribution Great Attitude Effective communication with coworkers, customers, and client EEO Statement: We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
