This long‑term substitute role covers a 12‑week period beginning February 2027, with the exact start date dependent on a maternity leave schedule Key Responsibilities Teach and manage a full 2nd grade curriculum in accordance with diocesan guidelines Prepare students for First Communion, a major sacramental milestone in Catholic education Plan, organize, and implement engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons Complete assignments, grading, and assessments in a timely manner Attend staff meetings, conferences, and school activities outside the normal teaching day Collaborate effectively with colleagues in a Christ‑centered school community Required Qualifications Practicing Catholic with a strong desire to share the faith with students Virtus trained (child protection certification required in Catholic schools) Strong communication skills and professional demeanor Effective classroom management and ability to maintain a positive learning environment Ability to work cooperatively within a mission‑driven Catholic school team
