Thrive Charter School is seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and student-centered High School Mathematics Teacher (Grades 9�12) to join our instructional team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop strong mathematical thinking, problem-solving skills, and confidence in applying math to real-world situations.

Position Overview

The Grades 9�12 Mathematics Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging, standards-based instruction in high school mathematics courses. This includes supporting students in foundational and advanced math skills while preparing them for graduation requirements, college readiness, and post-secondary success.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in high school mathematics Teach courses such as Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and/or other math electives as assigned Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners Use data to inform instruction and monitor student progress Develop and administer formative and summative assessments Support students in developing problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills Provide remediation and enrichment opportunities as needed Create a structured, positive, and supportive classroom environment Collaborate with special education staff to support inclusion and student accommodations Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school initiatives Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or related field (required) NJDOE certification in Secondary Mathematics (or eligible for certification) required Experience teaching high school students preferred Strong content knowledge in Algebra, Geometry, and upper-level mathematics Strong classroom management and instructional planning skills Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners Preferred Qualifications Experience with data-driven instruction and intervention strategies Familiarity with NJ Student Learning Standards for Mathematics Experience supporting inclusion classrooms and collaborating with special education staff Ability to integrate technology into math instruction Commitment to improving student achievement and college/career readiness Compensation & Benefits $62,000 Health, dental, and retirement benefits (as applicable) Professional development opportunities Supportive and collaborative school environment focused on student success
