Junior Accountant

Our client is seeking a Junior Accountant to join their Port Elizabeth team, Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions Capture and maintain accurate financial data in the accounting system Prepare and process journal entries Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules Preparation of management accounts and financial reports Support budgeting and forecasting processes Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and statutory requirements Assist with VAT calculations and submissions Requirements Grade 12 Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Financial Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred) Minimum of 1 to 3 years' accounting or finance experience Experience with bank reconciliations, creditors, debtors, and general ledger processing Experience with monthly management accounts Understanding of statutory requirements regarding payroll Experience using accounting software such as Sage Evolution, Sage Pastel, Xero, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar
