Building Substitute

Building Substitute Location: St. William Catholic School St. William Catholic School is seeking a caring, dependable, and flexible building substitute to support students and teachers in kindergarten through eighth grade. Rooted in Faith, Family, and Learning, our school provides a Christ-centered, inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to grow.

This position includes serving as a classroom paraprofessional and stepping in as a substitute classroom teacher as needed.

Responsibilities

Provide individual and small-group support to help students participate in classroom learning. Assist teachers with classroom activities, routines, and student supervision. Support students with diverse learning needs in collaboration with classroom teachers and student support staff. Serve as a substitute teacher when needed, following lesson plans and maintaining classroom expectations.

Foster a positive, safe, and respectful learning environment. Adapt to changing assignments and work collaboratively with staff across grades K–8. Support the Catholic mission and values of St. William Catholic School.

Qualifications

A teaching degree is preferred. Experience working with elementary or middle school students is desirable. Patience, flexibility, and a caring approach to working with children. Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills. Dependability and a willingness to serve wherever support is needed.
