What You'll Do

Greet customers in the service lane, listen to their concerns, and provide a professional, welcoming experience Create and manage accurate repair orders, documenting customer concerns, vehicle information, and requested services Communicate with technicians to review inspection findings, diagnostic results, and recommended repairs Explain repair recommendations, preventative maintenance needs, and service estimates clearly to customers Present and sell recommended maintenance and repair services while building customer trust Keep customers informed throughout the service process, including repair progress, estimated completion times, and any changes Coordinate with technicians, parts personnel, and service management to support efficient workflow and timely vehicle delivery Build long-term customer relationships through consistent communication, follow-up, and exceptional service Requirements Previous Automotive Service Advisor, Service Writer, or dealership service experience preferred Customer-facing sales, customer service, or automotive industry experience will also be considered Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills Ability to confidently explain automotive repairs, maintenance recommendations, and service estimates Comfortable presenting recommended services and working toward department sales and performance goals Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills Ability to manage multiple repair orders and customer interactions in a fast-paced service department Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to customer satisfaction Comfortable learning and using dealership management systems, scheduling software, and other technology Dependable, professional, and motivated with a team-oriented attitude Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Willingness to complete a pre-employment background check What We Offer PTO starting Day 1 Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) with Company Match Ongoing training and professional development opportunities Opportunities to expand your automotive service knowledge and customer relationship skills Career advancement opportunities — 97% of our promotions come from within Supportive, collaborative, and team-focused service department Established dealership group with more than 70 years in Eastern Iowa Take Your Automotive Service Career Further Your experience in customer service, automotive repair coordination, and building customer relationships deserves an opportunity to grow.
