The role receives, stores, counts, picks, packs, and ships inventory, including customer Fill & Hold orders. It also keeps the site running: mail, supplies, vendor visits, and basic facility upkeep. Warehouse responsibilities: These duties follow the Warehouse SOP and make up most of the role. Receiving and put-away Receive inbound shipments in the designated receiving area. Check products and quantities against the packing list; note any damage, shortages, or overages. Scan packing lists and send them to the Supply Chain Manager for receipt processing. Put inventory away in its designated location once the receipt is processed. Keep storage areas organized, labeled, and clean. Fill & Hold inventory Receive and verify customer Fill & Hold shipments the same way as standard inventory. Store Fill & Hold inventory in its designated area, kept separate and clearly marked by customers. Protect the identity and condition of customer inventory until shipment is authorized. Cycle counts Perform scheduled cycle counts set by the Supply Chain Manager. Perform random counts on request. Compare physical counts to expected quantities, report differences, and help investigate them. Parcel order picking and packing Pick orders from packing lists provided by the Supply Chain Manager. Verify item numbers, descriptions, and quantities before packing. Pack orders securely and record each package's weight and dimensions. Insert packing slips, apply shipping labels, and confirm each label matches the right customer and order. Seal packages and stage them in the shipping area for pickup. For private or dedicated carriers, also photograph the truck number and license plate. Quality, records and exceptions Verify accuracy at every SOP checkpoint, from receipt through carrier pickup. Keep packing lists, count records, checklists, BOLs, weights, dimensions, and photos per document-retention rules. Report missing, excess, wrong, or damaged items, documentation errors, and carrier issues to the Supply Chain Manager before the process continues. Operations responsibilities: These duties support the Director of Operations and the wider site. Data center alarm and camera monitoring Watch data center alarm and monitoring systems during assigned hours (for example, power, cooling, temperature, humidity, fire/life-safety, water detection and access alarms). Acknowledge alarms promptly and follow the site escalation procedure, notifying on-call staff, the Director of Operations, or vendors as directed. Log each alarm: time, system, description, who was notified, and how it was resolved. Report recurring or unresolved alarms and help track them to closure. Monitor security cameras for the data center, warehouse, dock, and grounds during assigned hours. Report suspicious activity, unauthorized access, or camera outages, and pull or save footage when requested. Building walks Complete scheduled building walks of the data center, warehouse, dock, and grounds. Look for propped-open or unsecured doors and close them; check locks, lighting, signage, fire extinguishers, and exits; look for leaks, unusual noise, odors, or temperature changes. Watch for anything that seems out of place, such as unfamiliar people or vehicles, moved or missing equipment, debris, or open cabinets and panels. Record findings on the walk checklist or log, with photos where useful. Report safety, security, or equipment issues right away and follow up until resolved. Site and building documentation Maintain standard documentation of electrical circuits, including panel schedules and circuit labeling. Organize and file building drawings (as-builts, floor plans, electrical and mechanical drawings) and keep them current. Keep other building records on file, such as equipment manuals, vendor service reports, inspection certificates, and warranties. Update documentation after changes, repairs, or new installs, and flag anything missing or out of date. Mail and deliveries Collect incoming mail and small-parcel deliveries each day. Sort and distribute mail and packages to the right people or departments. Log or scan important items (checks, legal or vendor notices) and route them per instructions. Prepare and send outgoing mail and courier items. General site support Escort vendors, contractors, customers, and other visitors on site where required. Order and stock warehouse, shipping, and office supplies (tape, stretch wrap, pallets, labels, boxes). Report facility issues such as lighting, doors, leaks, or damage, and follow-up on repairs. Keep warehouses, docks, and common areas clean, safe, and free of hazards. Help with special projects and other operations tasks as assigned.
