Certified Medical Assistant - Family Planning Clinic

We are seeking a skilled Family Planning – Certified Medical Assistant to join #Team.

Wake. In this role, you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of public health professionals to support the health and well-being of Wake County residents. You will contribute to a collaborative, patient-centered environment focused on improving health outcomes, reducing barriers to care, and providing responsive services to our community.

The clinic provides services Monday through Friday. The Family Planning Clinic provides confidential reproductive and sexual health services to help individuals make informed decisions about their health. Services include health assessments, education and counseling, contraceptive services, and other preventive care designed to support individual reproductive health goals.

In this role, you will: Receive delegated tasks from Registered Nurse Measuring and recording of vital signs Maintain examination rooms by ensuring they are properly prepared for use by health providers and clients. Administer vaccinations and assist with simple surgical procedures Collect lab specimens Assist with managing supplies Document in electronic medical record (EMR) per policy Clean the work areas as directed by OSHA regulations NOTE: Upon acceptance of employment, you acknowledge that (i) if you work in the Health Clinics and Public Health Division, influenza immunization is a condition of initial and continued employment, subject to compliance with federal law, (ii) actively supports and participates in department emergency preparedness and response activities, which may include temporary changes in responsibilities and working hours.
