Senior Power BI Developer

Position Title: Senior Power BI + Power Automate Developer with strong SQL & communication skills Job Description: Power BI & Power Automate Developer (6+ Years Experience) with excellent communication skills. Insurance-Specific Preference: Candidates with experience in General Insurance analytics, Policy Administration Systems, Claims Analytics, Underwriting Analytics, Agent/Broker Performance Reporting, Renewals, and Regulatory Reporting will be preferred.

Experience in building Power BI solutions for Claims, Underwriting, Sales, Finance, Actuarial, and Customer Service functions is highly desirable. Experience 6+ Years Location Hyderabad Department Data & Analytics / Business Intelligence Reporting To BI Manager Role Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power BI & Power Automate Developer with 6+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Visualization, Workflow Automation, and Microsoft Power Platform technologies.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade Power BI solutions and automating business processes using Power Automate. The role requires strong expertise in data modeling, DAX, data integration, dashboard development, workflow automation, and stakeholder management to support business decision-making and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Power BI Development Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports. Gather business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions. Build enterprise semantic data models using star and snowflake schemas. Develop advanced DAX measures, calculated columns, and KPIs. Optimize report performance, query execution, and dataset refresh processes.

Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS). Create pixel-perfect operational, tactical, and executive dashboards. Build reusable datasets and shared semantic models. Perform report tuning and performance optimization using DAX Studio and Performance Analyzer. Implement incremental refresh and large dataset optimization techniques.

Power Automate Development Design and develop cloud flows and automated workflows using Power Automate. Automate business processes including approvals, notifications, document routing, and data synchronization. Integrate Power Automate with: SharePoint Microsoft Teams Outlook Power BI SQL Server Azure Services Third-party applications Develop error handling, exception management, and monitoring mechanisms.

Maintain workflow governance and security compliance. Data Integration & Analytics Connect Power BI to multiple data sources including: SQL Server Azure SQL Database Azure Data Lake Dataverse APIs Excel SharePoint Oracle Fabric SAP Support enterprise data warehouse and analytics initiatives. Develop data quality monitoring dashboards.

Stakeholder Management Work closely with business users, product owners, and data teams. Conduct requirement gathering workshops. Provide user training and knowledge transfer sessions. Support UAT and production deployments.
