• Locums Coverage Period: Aug 01, 2026 – Ongoing Shift Schedule: 24-hour shifts Reason for Coverage: Coverage Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 47 patients per day FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 15 ED beds Specialty Backup Available: Yes Support Staff Available: APCs, RNs PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes REQUIRED PROCEDURES Moderate Sedation JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM) or equivalent Licenses: Active unrestricted IN Medical License, IN State Controlled Substance, DEA w/ IN address DEA / CDS: Active DEA with IN address and schedules 2,2N,3,3N,4 Certifications: BLS/CPR Experience: EM residency within past 12 months or IM with 5+ years continuous full-time high-volume ED experience Other Qualifications: Case logs past 2 years, completed CME Attestation, Flu/TB/COVID immunizations DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide 24-hour physician coverage in the Emergency Department Manage approximately 17,000 annual ED visits in a 15-bed ED Perform moderate sedation procedures as needed Collaborate with APC support during 10-hour daily coverage Utilize modern EMR with streamlined charting workflows to enhance efficiency
