AAC Teaching Assistant – Southwark

Senovo is recruiting an AAC Teaching Assistant for a welcoming specialist school in Southwark. You will support pupils who use augmentative and alternative communication, helping them take part in learning, friendships and daily school life.

What you will do

• Use communication boards, symbols and agreed AAC systems throughout the school day.
• Reinforce individual communication targets under guidance from teachers and therapists.
• Prepare accessible learning resources and encourage pupils to make choices independently.
• Record progress and share clear observations with the multidisciplinary team.

About you

• Experience supporting children or young people with communication needs.
• A calm, responsive approach and confidence following individual support plans.
