Capital Talent is hiring a HSE Manager with a dynamic corporation and manufacturer of metal and composite products supporting several industries including downstream, midstream, upstream applications, municipal applications, subsea, mining, low-carbon, and many others. One will work as the HSE leader to foster Safety by designing, promoting, and managing policies and procedures, best practices, prevention programs, and meeting regulatory requirements.

The HSE Manager will create policies, encourage participation, observe workforce adherence, strengthen safety culture, oversee onboarding safety training, contribute to KPI/metric tracking, lead continuous improvement & Learning via a learning management application and 3rd party training coordination, track incidents & corrective action, partner with various organizational leaders & stakeholders, monitor regulatory compliance, assess existing safety policies / improve where possible, and participate/communicate in areas like inspection, mass safety alert communications, other projects as needed, and generally foster an effective Safety culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree & 3+ years of experience in a leadership position including focus within manufacturing safety
  • 6-12 years of total experience within manufacturing
  • Familiarity with methodologies/concepts within areas like Six Sigma, Lean, continuous improvement, or others.
  • Familiarity with any of the following OSHA, EPA, HSE, ISO, API
  • Experience creating effective documentation, project tracking, & analysis like bridging documents (for Safety), must be able to effectively make use of corporate standard software like MS Office
  • Must be able to operate in both industrial/manufacturing and field environments, move/lift 50lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, climb/bend/stoop/kneel/reach/work in confined spaces, use heavy equipment / power tools and/or perform repetitive movements.
