Principal Quality Engineer (Chinese Speaking)

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the Quality representative of Changan Southeast Asia by being stationed at the Indonesia KD (Knock-Down) Plant. Responsible for overall vehicle quality management, quality issue investigation, problem-solving activities, and coordination with Changan Southeast Asia’s Technical and Quality teams to provide technical support and drive quality improvement at the KD plant.

Manage and monitor quality performance throughout the vehicle production process at the Indonesia KD Plant, including manufacturing process quality control, production quality data analysis, vehicle quality performance tracking, reporting of major quality issues, and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.

Verify, analyze, and resolve quality issues related to imported KD parts, including incoming quality inspection, KD parts quality issue handling, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and coordination with relevant internal teams and suppliers. Manage quality claims and warranty-related issues for imported KD parts, including claim submission, issue follow-up, and coordination with suppliers or relevant parties to ensure timely resolution.

Lead investigation and resolution of vehicle quality issues by applying quality tools and methodologies, identifying root causes, developing corrective actions, and ensuring effective implementation. Collect, analyze, and coordinate after-sales quality issues with Changan HQ’s Technical Team and Changan Southeast Asia’s Technical Team to provide technical support and implement corrective actions to improve customer satisfaction.

Support supplier quality management activities (STA), including supplier quality issue tracking, problem-solving coordination, and improvement follow-up with suppliers. Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering or other related technical disciplines. Minimum 6 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the automotive industry.

Strong experience in quality issue investigation, root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and quality problem-solving. Candidates with experience in the following areas will be highly preferred: Vehicle Quality Management, Manufacturing Process Quality, Incoming Quality / KD Parts Quality Issue Handling, After-sales Quality Problem Solving, Supplier Quality Management (STA), Technical Engineer or R&D Engineer experience Proficiency in Indonesian, English and Chinese language
