The Loan Review Department (LRD) is a second line of defense function, and part of Cathay Bank’s Risk Division, and as such is independent of all credit granting, adjudication, and operations by the first line of defense. LRD's mandate is to independently assess and opine upon the overall credit risk and effectiveness of credit risk management processes of the Bank.
