Director of Accounting

Position Summary

We are seeking a Director of Corporate Accounting. This pivotal role will oversee our corporate accounting functions and financial consolidation processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial management for our organization.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the corporate accounting function and financial consolidation processes, including the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, including oversight of the preparation and maintenance of account reconciliations Assist with the preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements and annual budgeting and forecasting processes Manage all corporate (non-operational) accounting processes, including multi-entity consolidations and intercompany transactions Develop, implement and document accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to maintain financial integrity and compliance.

Assist with the research and documentation of new accounting pronouncements and technical memos. Work with our IT function to ensure our ERP systems (Infor Syte. Line ERP) are managed and maintained appropriately, oversee the implementation and optimization of financial reporting and consolidation systems. Collaborate with senior management to provide strategic financial insights and support decision-making processes Manage relationships with finance and treasury, operations and external auditors Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of accounting processes Other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA certification required Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management, with a focus on corporate accounting, consolidations and reporting Advanced knowledge of GAAP, with a strong understanding of financial reporting requirements Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and implement best practices in financial management Proven track record in managing and developing high-performing accounting teams Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor team members Strong strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to align financial objectives with overall business goals.
